Who watches Doordarshan?

i was surfing the channels the other day and ic ame across that behemoth of a white elephant called doordarshan. i was just wondering if people actually tune in anyways? they seem to have a whole bunch of new faces reading their news which looks great, but still, i wonder if ol\' DD still retains a prt of that huge charm that it had eons ago!!!

I think the national news coverage in doordarshan is quiet good than other pvt channels, n yup nice to know from you witchie, that even DD is sprting some cuuute faces....as the anchors, but were u sure there hairs were short???

dear little witch i dono abot yr background. u know there was a time when there was only one movie in a week in DD.No private channel at that time.only one cine song programme used to be in a week. i am thinking and comparing those days with present day with little sadness in mind and then bit satisfaction.

dear LW ,, the quality of doordarshan can\'t be compared with any channels, most of the actors, directors prsently in other channels were seasoned from doordarshan only..

the programmes telecasted in Doordarshan if of good quality fit to see with the family,,name one other channel except cartoon which is fit for family?????

i wish those golden days comes back with chitrahar, sat/sun movies,,,which was in limit hence relished, now it is in abudance and become a real sore and pain...

Not many of you may know that ppl like me living in the \'great\' US of A in New Jersey are privileged to watch DD-World, that too Live! There is a TV station here which apparently takes satellite feed straight from DD, and believe me, we all enjoy it. The news is a 1,000 times better than any phoren channel here for whom \'headlines\' means how a WC exploded (because of clogged drainage) in NY city, and \'world\' news means how Clinton or Bush visited Dakota to check out some cows in a farm. So, to answer your Q, yes, we do watch it and love it. Mera DD mahaan.

Everytime I watch DD, I realise how much doctored information is sent out in the name of news... hmmm, no journalist worth his/her salt wud ever want to work for boredarshan.

I strongly suspect that a) U work for DD b) DD owes u money c) u don\'t have enuf money for cable television. If (a), please look up fullhyd job section. If (b), sue them. If (c), we can all help u.
