Promises

by xyz » Fri May 02, 2003 10:29 am

In the darkest of times
I stand alone,
Staring into the shadows
of time, of my actions.
I think of no one but you, the memories of us
flash across my mind
And a tear rolls down my face...

I retrace the path, longing to meet you,
at the place where
We parted with a promise,
never to meet again,
And I sigh and I think,
have I lost all I had
Or did I have anything at all...

I walk back alone and sad,
hoping to meet you again,
someday somewhere.
And a tear rolls down my face,
And I break a promise again...

Touchy.

A ray of hope is the only thing which makes us to dream.

i wrote this for her:

From where she came, he does not know.

A heady scent and a fair glow.

In an instant she cast a spell,

Perhaps the Lady of Rivendell.

Struck with awe,

Mute with glee.

Surreal awakening,

Or destiny.

Her laughter, of chirping birds,

Her voice, of a gentle stream.

Her touch, of a delicate dove,

In her eyes an innocent gleam.

He looks in bewilderment,

A sight of exquisite beauty.

He longs for her love,

Hoping against destiny.

Her tresses, dark they shone,

In the mystique of the twilight.

Her silken hands revive memories from afar.

Her radiant skin, sun the morning star.

From where she came, he does not know,

A heady scent and a fair glow.

He longs for her love, hoping against destiny,

Chained by fate, alas misery and a long wait.
I ran into my ex-girlfriend the other day... I backed up and ran into her again... I miss her sometimes...

xyz and Wizard, nice poems. Great job!
Whenever you can't sleep
May you be treated to a song
And heaven cracks
A song falls softly from the light of heaven.

CAD, You got me wrong.. I do appreciate poems. In fact I am bit of a shayer myself. I meant I just cant seem to identify with being glum when I loose someone. It was good when it was.. and thats that. Why spoil what we have today by crying about the past something that cant be changed.

Yes I do feel bad when I remember the people I lost in life. But I dont dwell on it.

Damn good ! u know whatever happens its for good only don't let ur past affect ur present. We meet so many people on the way but only some we remember.

Remember only good time u spent and forget abt everything else.

Life is short so try to live it fully. Whatever done cant be changed but u can always make better tommorrow.

Continue writing. It helps. Hope to see some more ...
