why are few people called 'creative'?

i need to tell a story now: CAFE is like my friend.........in the story.



I had this friend who never used to study.........ljust sleep and was very lazy....



once in a while he used to read a question or two from a Hi-Fi book, by-heart the answer and come ask us....the question.....sometimes we were not able to answer and he used to say........"i am better than u guys who always study, i know the answer" he used to live in the false belief that he knows better than the other friends who used to study every-day......that guy finally failed



now, if u know the answer for what creativity exactly is and what talent is and u know the difference between the two.......why r u asking us.........whats ur point ?

Creativity is a part of lateral thinking. And only people who can think laterally, along with some vertical input, can be creative. Too much of either of the ways of thinking, either creates confusion or becomes obselete.

Innovation cannot be achieved without lateral thinking HP. I dont say creativity is just lateral thinking. Read my post again, i said a good mixture of both lateral and vertical thinking leads to creativity.



Pure vertical thinking just helps in improvement of an existing product or art.

Creativity on the other hand demands a new path of approach. (obviously with a cue from an existing thing.)
