Not necessary. There are so many examples before us. Take Sachin. His wife is older to him and they are a happy family. Similarly go back to Ramayana. Seeta was also older to Rama. And there are so many couples where wife is 10 years younger. What is needed is respect for each other and love. So do not worry much on this score!!

yes, there shud certainly be an age difference of atleast abt\' 4 yrs. where the girl is younger to the guy. the guys mature later to girls, physically, mentally and emotionally. The needs of a 22 yr old girl suits that of a maybe 26-28 yr old guy.. in every sense of the term. more so when they begin to grow older, the girl needs the guy to be more matured, so that he can be there for her and her children as a Man of the house. These may sound rather conservative, more so, when the girls are all out for \'feminist movement\'. Yet, this is true. Its NATURE.

hi Anu!! your basic answer is that usually guys are older; but if you have a specific situation or a personal problem going on, then it really doesn\'t matter, there are a number of examples where women are older.

Anu, I sincerely feel that there should definitely be an age gap between boy and girl. This is because the girls mature much faster than girls. While it may not look like age would matter when both are in their 20s, but when they reach 30s and 40s, it definitely shows. This leads to a lot of marital problems. I have seen a few cases like that and would not advise anybody to do so.

You know who a \'boy\' or \'girl\' is? Someone who has not reached puberty yet. You are referring to men and women. Get your basics right. You are not alone. Several on these boards write \'boy girl\'. God!!!

My Dear Grammatica, a boy/girl doesn\'t mean anyone below the pubertal age. No dictionary says that!!! Just FYI, here\'s what most of the dictionaries say (including Oxford and Webster):

Boy:
1. A male child.
2. An immature or inexperienced man, especially a young man.
3. A son: his youngest boy.
4. Informal A grown man; a fellow.
5. A male who comes from or belongs to a particular place: a city boy.
6. Offensive A male servant, such as a valet.

Same applies to the girls.

Yes, \"ASTIVA\" is a real picture of problems... Getting married to a guy 10 yrs younger!!! But see, it\'s not the girl who is wrong, it is the guy... Can he take such a difficult stand and stand by it? It\'s rare that a young guy can be like this!!!!! Tell me, HOW MANY OF THE GUYS WILL LIKE TO MARRY AN OLDER (10 YRS), BEAUTIFUL, ACCOMPLISHED AND MATURE GIRL???
