Errors on the DBs of late

Hey...

I've been getting this a lot lately when I try to log in.

phpBB : Critical Error
Could not connect to the database

(Happened just now when I tried to preview this post)

Very often, it takes a while before what I post actually appears on a thread.

The DBs have become extremely sluggish over the past week or so, with loading times increasing dramatically.

The old double-post bug seems to attack once in a while, specially on the shoutboard.

I'm sure this has nothing to do with my connection because I'm getting a decent transfer rate, and other sites work fine.

It still gave me an error when I got to the db through the FH homepage, but atleast the db is opening now.

looks like Kishore dada needs some more server lines if he has to cater to all the FHDenizens around...

i got a mail from KK sying its a pblm. of too many ppl. visiting the site and that it wld. setteled in a day or 2...but it looks ok now.

When you get the critical error thingie, if you just refresh once or twice, it generally works (as of now). Guess its traffic dependent.
