Annoying popup ads in fullhyd.com

by lonewolf » Fri Jul 29, 2005 7:19 pm

Hi mods,

This new popup ad { the one sponsored by http://ad.yieldmanager.com } is really annoying. It opens a new window when you navigate to any page in fullhyd.com. FYI, I use Firefox all the time and I still keep getting this ad. If I visit 10 pages, I get 10 new windows.

The offending include page is http://www.fullhyderabad.com/adserver/iframes/discussions_topad.html

If you have to display an ad, it would be great if you can get your coders to edit it so you can place a smaller version of the ad on the current page instead of creating a new popup window each time. I can guarantee you'll have more CPC clicks when the ads are place on the page than when they appear as popups. Thanks.

I don't use IE. Firefox fails to block them because the originating source is fullhyderabad.com itself, so it doesn't recognise it as a popup from an external server. Its irritating...

Ads to the Right, Top and Bottom. Why the hell do we need popus also?

Atleast there should be a limit to the popups. As Lonewolf says, there is a new Ad window everytime i refresh the page. :x :? :(

You are using popup blockers, and asking others to be patient? :P

I generally click on one Ad from FH everyday, just to do my bit.

Nobody is against the ads, its their frequency. Btw, the latest version of Opera blocks most ads.

same case here
Things are supposed to happen the way they happen. And the reason they happen the way the happen is because you try to make them happen in a certain way and may or may not be succesful.

1.0.5 is supposed to be the dangerous version. Either downgrade to 1.0.4 or upgrade to 1.0.6.

Huh?? I Did'nt Come Across any Loopholes in Vrsion 1.0.5. Actually the 'Cold Startup' Delay has been Reduced Greatly in 1.0.5.

Will Upgrade to 1.0.6 Soon Though
