Oh my god! Those pictures are really scaring. :shock: :o May be I should reconsider if I really have to smoke or not after watching those nerve shaking pictures.

Sorry Max :!: I discussed my personal problems with some of my best friends before. They just SOLD my problems to someone else just to insult me :( . I don't want to discuss anymore. Pls don't mind. Rather I am thinking to start a new life somewhere else eventhough the problems might follow me where ever I go, but still varies my daily routine atleast giving me a sigh of relief.



My depression may be leading to some different habits. Smoking/Drinking are some of them. Iam not sure what kind of habits Iam gonna cultivate more in my life. For now I'm smoking/drinking, and when my brain starts thinking of the incidents, it gets worse sometimes :cry: . Lets face it. It's part of human life.

I started to smoke the light cigarettes to the regular ones since I was feeling something going wrong in the stomach with the strong/regular ones. But couldn't stop smoking completely. When I pass by the shop after drinking tea my foot automatically walks towards it............. :( it became a routine now :)

Just joined the forum. Read some great posts.



VJ,

I have done smoking/drinking too just to be "in" the group. I have given up smoking and drinking both some time ago and it does affect some friendships for a while in that you don't get invited to some of the parties.

If you ask me honestly, smoking and drinking are not the problems , they are just a way to distract yourself from the real problems/issues you have.

I have been reading some self help books recently and the one I liked the most is by Bertrand Russell. It's called 'the conquest of happiness'



I can summarize a few of the things from the book.



1) Don't analyze too much about yourself , the meaning of life and how the world operates.

2) Take up some activity that removes the focus from yourself. That is, get busy doing something that you can enjoy and totally forget abt other things.

3) Try out 10 different things. small achievements boost morale and in turn make you confident in confronting other problems.

3) Don't believe people who tell you life is complicated. Life can be as simple as you make it to be.

The difference between me and u is U only read the books, but I read the books as well as my life. As far as taking some activity is concerned, I'm waiting for my tickets to fly away from here. I'm no more interested in living here for my personal reasons. I don't believe in others, I believe in myself. No more analysing, only operating :lol: Thainx anyways...I'm sure I'm gonna quit smoking one day, drinking I want to keep it occasional:)
