Haridwar is commonly regarded as a holy city and therefore people from this area hold very many religious festivals. Haridwar tourist places reflect the divinity of the culture and traditions in this holy city. It stands as the gateway to the other three important pilgrimages of Uttrakhand namely, Rishikesh, Badrinath and Kedarnath. There are several rivers and streams in the place that serves as tourists attraction sites. Lovers of wildlife will find this as their destination of choice as they will have a chance to visit Rijaji national park that is rich in both fauna and flora.
