Angelee Deodhar is an eye surgeon by profession, and a haiku poet, translator and artist living in Chandigarh. Her haiku/haiga have been published internationally in various books, journals and on the internet. To promote haiku in India she has translated six books of haiku from English to Hindi. With Dr. Jagdish Vyom, she started a bilingual English Hindi website Haiku Sansaar (Haiku World). At the Haiku North America conference in Long Beach, California from 14th to 18th August 2013, she was an invited panelist for Haiku and Healing and also gave a presentation of Children's haiku about Wind and Water from around the world.

Yes, Pra.

In addition, this workshop is aimed at beginners. It will provide an overview of haiku and related genres, its technique and finer aspects, present the haiku of
Japanese masters, and put participants through a hands-on experience
of writing haiku.

Angelee Deodhar, one of the senior-most haikuists in
India, will conduct the workshop, assisted by Paresh Tiwari. Prior registration would be required.
