Why "Entry is for couples only"

Hello from France!

I will go to Hyderabad this summer, for work. (until december)
ive never been to India before, but used to live in Japan and South Korea.

I was checking this wonderfull website to know more about nightlife in Hyderabad, and I'm very surprised

Why most of the party and clubs are "only for couples"??, like :

That mean if I dont have a girlfriend, I cant go to these clubs, and cant have fun on Saturday night?

Unfortunately you can't. Hyderabad is not France or Japan - there are a lot of sexually repressed/frustrated youth here who are likely to misbehave if they were allowed inside a pub where they'd get to see women clad in aggressive attire. Hence the pubs take their precautions.

Well, I thought pub, bars and clubs were a place where everybody could have fun and meet other people...

Even if I understand the reason, how can I have fun? stay alone at home??? it is crazy....

I'm from France too and I'll be in Hyderabad for a couple of months.
We gotta help each other but I'm sure we can find a place to have fun
there's no need to be afraid of every single boy!
