According to my experience \"yaha pe taqdeer ka bahut bada dakhal hai bahi kunke hum ne aise aise log dekhen hain yahaan pe khuch bhi na hote huae sab khuch paa lete hain.
Agar naseeb ne aap ka sath diya tau bhaut kuch aap kama lenge agar na saath diya naseeb ne to zero. Sirf white collar wale job mushkil se dus se bees fisad haasil hain.Aaj kal multi national compnies bhi muqaami logon ko naukri dene ke paband ho gaye hain.

it might be great to say that no body goes empty handed from saudi arabia, but it is to be brought to atention, that only the men live a life. the females are burkha shrouded with as much freedom as a caged lab-rat. guys please grow up and stop raving about only the monetary aspects of a kingdom where human souls and freedom are absolutely non existant.

She has completely forgotten to mention about the freedom available in Saudi Aramco and other similar M N companies of KSA to women. They drive, work, and do not wear burkhas inside those kingdoms or free-domes within KSA. Obviously she is unaware of whole lot of other privileges that are available to women here. female patakha must be living in oblivion (if she had ever lived in KSA).

Hello Femala Pataka, Saudi Arabia is the place where women is respected the highest, and a women can walk at midnight all alone and no soul can touch her. It is very modest to have a dress ethics like wearing a burka and a scarf for the head that, it is so decent, women\'s freedom is not curtailed. Can't call just by exposing her flesh like in other places now (copying the westerners, is the freedom what you are talking about, means - my friend you have sadly mistaken. Saudi Araibi even today is maintaining its discpline and culture, it is a very rich country, yet the money power is not misused. The culture reforms even the worst guys there. It is a country where there is no film industry. The weaker sex are protected. Do you know that in parties women are to have their meal first and then only men. In India it is other way round. Every day we read women being harrassed either at office or for dowry? such things are rare in Saudi Arabia. I wish one should inspire their culture for betterment, than following the westerners, discos, dating etc. Lets be Indians and protect our culture and heritage:)

You have very false information. Any human being who is supressed very badly will try for more freedom. Have you not gone through History? One prince had atleast 10 wives. The famous French travellors have very beautifully explained the fire behind those ladies behind the screens. The ladies were showing so many gestures for eating fire (I hope you can understand). One of my friends was killed in Saudi Arabia by local gundas. You know why? One of the native ladies
expressed enormous affection towards the poor guy, who finally in turn was victimised very badly.

In my opinion, an expatriate\'s life whether in Saudi Arabia or elsewhere is dependent largely on WHAT HE/SHE is and what kind of remuneration and perks he/she gets. You will never get a common reply for the subject question if put to even 5 different people since they will reply in the context of their own experiences and situation. In general Saudi is a place where accomodation (normal) , food, utilities are reasonably cheaper compared to other gulf countries and Europe apart from that commonly you do not have much avenues (cinema, casinos, discotheques, bars, etc..etc) to spend money as such you save money relative to your income. I think the rest (acceptance / like/dislike of laws, culture, society, etc..etc)is dependent on one\'s own priorities. By the way, no country on this earth is a heaven:)

whats the big deal about walking along the roads at midnight (wearing a burkha) if you come home adn find your husband flitting about with another woman and there isnt a damn thing that you can do.

whats the point of \'maintaining discipline and culture\' when the only role in that repressed society is that of a baby machine (who doesnt see the light of day)

whats the point of attending a party where you as a lady are eating first..........BIG DEALLLL!there is more to life than digging into the pakoras first.

thre is something very intangible called FREEDOM which in that land of plenty seems to be very very conviently forgotten to be doled out in equal measures to both sexes.

Dear Female Patakha - I understand your frustration about the women liberty in KSA as this is a common myth. Interestingly even women working/living in places like Aramco, which is regarded as good as little america and where there is complete freedom (within their huge compounds), do often call the place as \"Banana Island\". However, you may want to look at the leisures and facilities that are available for women. A woman can work (Aramco, schools, hospitals, embassies et..etc) can go for shopping, can attend religious gatherings (not islamic alone), can go to restaurants /hotels, beaches, parks, etc..etc.. And now a days you find many ladies around without wearing abaya (burqa)particularly in the eastern region (Alkhobar, Dammam) and even in Jeddah. I don\'t really understand what else a woman would need in the name of freedom ??? If you don\'t work it is your choice, if you don\'t go out it is your choice again !! I suggest you look around and you will find many happy women living comfortable life and you might be able to appreciate the freedom available.
