Hearing about it all the time in the news and finding it one of the top careers in the years to come, is pharmacy really a career someone should persue? Over here in the States, its picking up fast-and people are finding it difficult to find a seat in pharmacy schools. I know of five people who had to drop that career path because they couldnt get a seat anywhere...regardless of their high academic achievements?
A couple of weeks ago, i read a newspaper article of how now american pharmacuetical companies are turning their heads to indians pharmacuetical companies for partnerships and research. And that in a couple of years time, pharmacists are going to be in great demand-in india and all over--similar to the IT boom we all witnessed.
But, I am not in India and havent been to in a long time. Has anyone there noticed the difference? Are pharm. companies really looking for potential employees and pharmacists or is still a long way off? Should people seriously start thinking about a career in pharmacy?
