Aquaguard reviews - Aquaguard water purifiers suck

Considering an Aquaguard water purifier from Eureka Forbes? Well, here's a real-life story of how they operate - a review of our experience.

We paid them for an AMC for our Aquaguard water purifier. And when a problem happened, our nightmare started.

We called all the Eureka Forbes customer care numbers. Many times they were not responded to (040-23300010 being a case in point). The Hyderabad Aquaguard manager, a Satya Prakash (9291321129), never used to take calls on his cell either. At the times that there was a response on the landline customer care numbers, we were told someone would come, but no one did. Once someone did come, but since there was no water supply, agreed to return the next morning, but did not show up for a couple of weeks again.

The Hyderabad office finally asked us to call 39883333 (the central Eureka Forbes customer care number, which can put you on hold forever) and lodge our complaints there. We did that, too, but no one turned up again.

About a month after our ordeal with our Aquaguard water purifier started, 2 persons came again. They eventually did not fix the problem saying they did not have the requisite implements, but instead they actually broke a plug-point that supplies power to the Aquaguard water purifier unit.

They tried to cover it up and act like nothing happened, but when we spotted it, they apologized, and promised to return the next day with an electician who would fix that, too.

Nobody did. We kept calling for some more days, and the manager Satya Prakash finally came one morning. He did not fix the problem either, but instead told my mother, when she asked why he never responds on his mobile, that my mother must be having a free phone and so keeps calling every few hours. He also told us to pitch in with half the cost for fixing the broken electical installation!

I then decided to write to the CEO himself. The Eureka Forbes customer care people simply refuse to give even the board number of the head office, and that after putting you on hold for for infinite time. I had to use the Internet to locate him (Aslam Karmali, Eureka Forbes CEO, email: aslam.k@eurekaforbes.com, telephone number: 022-30449817).

I wrote to him with this review of our experience, asking for a compensation for all that we went through over a month. He marked an email to all his top colleagues, labelling it "Very Urgent", but nobody bothered to respond for a week. Either that reflects the way Eureka Forbes works, or "Very Urgent" is some kind of an inside joke.

Eureka Forbes' customer care totally sucks, at least in my experiences that was a 1-month nightmare. There are plenty of other water purifiers out there. Maybe you should try Kent, Zero B, Pureit, Philips or Usha Brita. See http://compareindia.in.com/products/water-purifiers/

Um, what was the problem that occurred. I am very curious to know what happened, you never mention it once. I guess the actual problem doesn't matter, but that their customer service is horrible. I guess this is a stupid question, but would you refer this product to a friend or any one else for that matter. :?:

Lured into Annual Contract ...
No Check, Even Once In Three Months.
One Check, as Six-Months about to end - Muck seen in the Cotton Pack / Pad Inside ...
Latest, leakage seen in Neighbour's (My mother's) Unit. No Technician Turned Up Yet, despite complaint booked One Week Ago ...
No Service; Only Dodging / Evading and may be Dis-Service, Too!

I had bought aquaguard water filter for my home for the filtration of water. Water contains many microorganisms which are not safe for our health.

never ever go for EUREKA FORBES Aquaguard water purifiers..

I bought Aquaguard RO for 10,000/- from a customer sales specialist Dasaradh Kumar, this persons cell number never works, i doubt if this cheater is still with this company or not. These company Sales and service persons are big cheaters, At the time of selling these idiots never tell about servicing aspects of changing the candles every year which costs us almost 3500/- per year, they just say very economical purifier and even for the first year for every 4 months there is free servicing and they never turn-up for the servicing. Customer care SUCKS, they note the issue but that will be a never solving problem.

I never recommend this product and be careful of these sales persons, please kick them out if they are nearby your premises.

ear Sir
I bought the Protec Aquaguard machine in Aug. 13th. for the exchange of
Royal machine(which they have not taken still)
and the machine is not working for the past 10 days. I used to call the call
center daily but I will get the reply "sorry. the person will come in 24
hrs. They also gave the service center no. 044-22436109 and I have been
calling them for the past 4 days . They gave the complaint no. 63885096 .
But most of the times the no. is busy or they are not picking up the call.
They also said within 24hrs. technician would come.
Now i have gone back to my water can .since I am tired of calling the people
again and again.
Atleast they can say the exact day when they would come and rectify instead
of giving false promise
I stay in alwarpet chennai.

Their might be a wide range of product. They are promoting the product by showing all the technology and other things. But I think they should also focus on the product as a whole. I was made to buy the RO, by punching all the technical and hard to understand the words, and was told it is the best.

But I would say it is the worst. The body started developing cracks in 5th month itself. Ans the whole system went down in 8th month. After repetitive calling they changed some parts and after one month of spending in the market for bottled water and their parts charges I was told it can not be mended, its better you buy a new.

After all a Great technology to make money from customers.

The selection of good water purifier depends on the Water quality and hardness in your area where RO Purifier is to be installed. To check the hardness of water there is TDS meter available.

The cost of TDS meter is 700/- and anyone who is having it can do it for you in 100-200/- only. Better you buy it as its useful.

If TDS is less than 300 then you can survive without RO Purifier. If TDS is more than that then you need to buy RO Purifier.

There is a component called Membrane in RO. The name of it is "Membrane"

There are various qualities available of the membrane. The price rages from 1200/- to 3000/-

Normally every company uses membrane that costs 1200/-.

Which membrane one should select it depends on the TDS level. Below is the table having my suggestion:

If TDS is less than 600 then use Vontron Membrane that costs 1200/- approx
If TDS is more than 600 then use AWS Membrane that costs 2500/- approx

As membrane the most expensive part of RO, we should not compromise in this.

If you are looking for "Value for Money" I would always recommend to not to buy any branded RO as their prices are double then the other competitors.

Thanks,
Atin Gupta

Before you buy a water purifier check if the WATER PURIFICATION TECHNOLOGY is RIGHT for the type if water you get.

UV? RO? RO+UV? UF? SMP? Which is the RIGHT Water Purification Technology?

A water purification technology that eliminates the essential natural minerals is also equally important. of course the main parameter is ensuring SAFE drinking water.

You may visit water consumer.org. Water Consumer is a portal dedicated to Safe drinking water.

Never ever think of buying acquaguard filter. The service is worst. We had paid Rs 3500 one time payment for 3years service that includes changing candle once in a year and servicing for every 3 months. Candles were changed in years 2011 and 2012. In 2013, executive came in December and said that the candle is fine and will change it in August 2014. The service period will expire in October 2014. We trusted him and waited. No one came. Another executive came at the end of October and said that the service period is over and we need to pay Rs 3500 for extension. Called customer care several times. Unfortunately executives there don't understand basic English language. Upon several calls we were told that their records show that candle was changed in October 2013which is not true. No one came. We realized that the executive cheated us as well as the company and no one is ready to resolve the issue. I request any of you to provide with as many sites as possible as I would like to post this complaint on every site available.

Ohh that's very bad on the part of Eureka Forbes company. I think this is the first time I have heard of delay in delivering services to the customers. You should report to the higher officials of the company and if still the problem is not solved file a case against them. This wil help you also and thousand of other people will be helped after that.
