Aquaguard water purifier review - sucks! wrote:Considering an Aquaguard water purifier from Eureka Forbes? Well, here's a real-life story of how they operate - a review of our experience.
We paid them for an AMC for our Aquaguard water purifier. And when a problem happened, our nightmare started.
We called all the Eureka Forbes customer care numbers. Many times they were not responded to (040-23300010 being a case in point). The Hyderabad Aquaguard manager, a Satya Prakash (9291321129), never used to take calls on his cell either. At the times that there was a response on the landline customer care numbers, we were told someone would come, but no one did. Once someone did come, but since there was no water supply, agreed to return the next morning, but did not show up for a couple of weeks again.
The Hyderabad office finally asked us to call 39883333 (the central Eureka Forbes customer care number, which can put you on hold forever) and lodge our complaints there. We did that, too, but no one turned up again.
About a month after our ordeal with our Aquaguard water purifier started, 2 persons came again. They eventually did not fix the problem saying they did not have the requisite implements, but instead they actually broke a plug-point that supplies power to the Aquaguard water purifier unit.
They tried to cover it up and act like nothing happened, but when we spotted it, they apologized, and promised to return the next day with an electician who would fix that, too.
Nobody did. We kept calling for some more days, and the manager Satya Prakash finally came one morning. He did not fix the problem either, but instead told my mother, when she asked why he never responds on his mobile, that my mother must be having a free phone and so keeps calling every few hours. He also told us to pitch in with half the cost for fixing the broken electical installation!
I then decided to write to the CEO himself. The Eureka Forbes customer care people simply refuse to give even the board number of the head office, and that after putting you on hold for for infinite time. I had to use the Internet to locate him (Aslam Karmali, Eureka Forbes CEO, email: aslam.k@eurekaforbes.com, telephone number: 022-30449817).
I wrote to him with this review of our experience, asking for a compensation for all that we went through over a month. He marked an email to all his top colleagues, labelling it "Very Urgent", but nobody bothered to respond for a week. Either that reflects the way Eureka Forbes works, or "Very Urgent" is some kind of an inside joke.
Eureka Forbes' customer care totally sucks, at least in my experiences that was a 1-month nightmare. There are plenty of other water purifiers out there. Maybe you should try Kent, Zero B, Pureit, Philips or Usha Brita. See http://compareindia.in.com/products/water-purifiers/
