Ravi Rajan, It depends, if she is capable of handling the jobs of the house, then it is VERY GOOD for the family she earns. The most important are the kids, they should not feel that they are ignored by the parents. And the other most important job for her is the kitchen, if the husband and the kids dont get their food on time then it will create many problems.

Hey ... Radha thanks for the information you provided ... but don\'t you think it will to be too much to expect from Wife, once she starts working ... coz., after having undergone 8 hours of office work, do you think she can concentrate on the household affair, even if she is ready to do so, but still being a co-being can the husband expect it from her, afterall she is also a human being and ofcourse she will have her own melting and boiling points and tiredness ... so don\'t you feel ... strongly atleast one ... either husband or wife ... to be at home all the time to make the life simple and beautiful....

Ravi Rajan, Definetely it is too much to expect from her, but i wrote \"if she can handle\", and dont forget one thing if she is working or not working, if there is no support from husband it is very difficult go on. If the husband support and assist her, work together with her in the house then it will be no problem at all. And in India i saw a very few husbands who work in the house with wife to support her.

Hey ... Radha ...
You are absolutely correct.
I don\'t know why in India ... it happens like that.
The same Indians when they live outside india... they take every care of their wives, right from helping her at home and even washing, moping etc., which I am seeing here in US.
If the samething happens there also ... then how nice it would be ... no worries ... no probs... a cool life isn\'t it.

Indian husbands helping their wives in domestic chores? Its a very rare scene, even in the US. It will take centuries before it becomes common for them to shrug off their male chauvinism.

Dear Ravi: The reason for helping their wives outside India because no one seeing them helping their wives but in case if they are in Hyderabad they are afraid with their parents and the family to get the title of \"Joru Ka Ghulam Hogaya\" dekho kesa ghusa hey biwi key pass, office sey kamkarkey thak key aata aur phir ghar mein bhee biwi ka kam karta (aayee baat samajmein).

u ppl seem to give obviously contradictory statements....u all ppl were very much worried about traditions and stuff like that....is it our tradition for a man to help his wife in doing works like cooking washing clothes etc.....according to our tradition man works and earns for the family and women take care of household things.... so how far is it reasonable for a man to do those household things...is it not against our tradition....now what happened to ur crappy stuff...is this not westernization......

Easily available help in a joint family along with scores of servants make it a different scenario in india. Always compare an apple with an apple. Dont mix up issues.
