Yes, Betty, marital rape is a serious offence. But it is unfair to single out India in this regard. This is prevalent in the so called advanced nations as well. If you were to collate statistical data, you would find that such sex offences are more in the western world. Sad, but true.

I don’t see any crime in consensual sex between unmarried people, but it is a crime in India, where as forceful intercourse between married partners is not a crime according to the Indian legal system, which I think is a shame. And coming to the topic of advanced nations and non advanced nations, I don’t think “advanced” is a right term to use when it deals with concepts such as love or emotions, its all a cultural issue and has nothing to do with how advanced the country is , or wether it is situated in the west or in the east.

hmm do we know what love is? hmm love is just the term which we give to various relationships we have sometimes it is infactuation just liking the qulaities of the person or sometimes it is the intense physical desire to be with someone or it is pure liking or affection. we just cover the relationship with the word called "love" . now this has got a positive side to it. we generally see that in the old couples the kind of care they take is what i call "love" . it is a time tested thing not an instant coffee which can be procured in parks or smooching. love is like an old wine the older it is the better the taste. hmmm what do u say guys?
