Gone r the days when parents would select a boy or a girl for their childs life partner. Instead these days people are looking for some specific qualities in their life partner. Some how try to define your life partner or try to imagine your life partner and put the qualities out here. apart from that, i didn't assume you were already married but thats how i sounded like. what i was trying to say is that if you find your girl out of the arranged marriage loop then you should be able to find someone like that, that is, if you believe some people on this board.

You can't go around passing this list without letting the potential candidate know how you look vis-a-vis those same attributes. things work out when you realise that man and woman are complementary...i.e complete each other.

It's really tough to find the qualities in ur partner in just one look or a meeting especially in a country like India. I'm not really sure how people select their life partners. Howcome the arranged marriages in India are a success? Ofcourse complementing each other plays a vital role as you said. But u r never far away dreaming about ur life partner and the qualities he/she should have......

well it could go either way arrnged marriages. previously if it ddin't work out you were condemned to live with it anyway..now divorce has come to be an option making a mockery of every vow one takes during marriage. Personally, divorce is not an option, its a last resort. anyway, when your parents look for a girl they are not gonna pick up the first girl they see are they? how well do your parents know you... people bash arranged marriages to high hell on these boards but i beg to differ. the success of an aranged marriage as a relationship depends on hoow involved you are with the process. if you want a mail order bride ..you are in for trouble. ulitmately you pick the girl that matches your list the most whether you meet her by way of your parents or at a bar or ina strip club!

I'm not pushing 35. I'm still 28+. I'm asking this since I have seen two different parts of the world and the variances in the culture, lifestyle, and the way they settle down. And why not I was wondering whats required in ur life partner afterall she is gonna share ur life.
