U.S. strikes on Afghanistan

by DJ » Sat Oct 27, 2001 12:30 am

Do you believe that the U.S. strikes on Afghanistan are justified? I know this might be a controversial topic, but i thought may be we can just drop in our individual opinion.

I think the better question now would be whether or not these attacks will help curb the terrorist activity. Many people believe that the attacks on afghanistan and bin laden will not help to end terrorism. I think thats true, but i also believe that US has done the right thing by starting this \'war against terrorism\' and i feel extremely sorry for the innocent people who are getting killed in afghanistan.
I hope this war ends soon.

I think US is doing the right thing and sending the right signals that it will not take crap lying down. Or else it will also end up as a soft state like India. However, I wish they were not so hypocritical and rally to India\'s support if India decide to take a proactive stance in taking out the terrorist training camps across the border in the rogue nation of Pakistan.

attacks on poor country like afghanistan is not a war. its an aggression over those people. First and foremost americans used them to break soviet union and now they are beating them because they are giving shelter to osama binladen or whatever his name is.

The war on terrorism banner should be american shelfish war.

if they really want to attack terrorist they mush bomb UK. who harbors all kind of murderes and terrorist. why arnt america bomb the ???? british is the one who create hell lot of problems in the entire world. why not everybody kick some british ass?

i think this so called war on terrorism is nothing but power demonstration over bunch of tribes who dont even have their own army.

hahahah we are part of the american game.

We should strong oppose american bombing on the worlds poorest country like the above person said. It is nothing more then power display. I am sure american govt now have realised that who really have done those attacks but i think they have went too far accusing those afgans and to make use of this situation they are doing a power display to make a fear in the middleast again, he dad demonstrated the american military muscle in middlease and grabed them for 20years and now his son is doing the same thing. In this freaking selfish war, we indians are roughed with pakistani terror threats.

this is getting to be a joke of cosmic proportions isn\'t it? first america creates binladen (he is CIA trained - that they happily forget) and now that he comes back to haunt them --- they go on an anti terrorist crusade! and the biggest joke is pakistan is the frontline state... is the sponsor of state terrorism in kashmir and the father of the taliban.

And what is the big deal about WTC bombing victims ( The first time i saw it i was awestruck i admit -great planning and even greater execution) we have had lakhs of ppl die in kashmir over past decade. I myself was in bombay during the 1993 bomb blasts ( I am a displaced bombayite now in hyderabad). I have gone thru it firsthand guys..... so big deal.

This gentlemen is no anti terrorist crusade.... this is simple revenge and afghanistan is part of the collateral damage. thats all.
It is high time we wake up and have a foreign policy for a change, quit our holier than thou attitude, stop being generous ( offering help to america even before it asked... and then be sidlined!)..... and kick some paki ass and get back our kashmir!

US war against a country like Afghanistan will have very far reaching effects if prolonged, without achieving its declared goals of containing terrorism. The world conscience will not be able to tolerate more and more pictures of innocent children being maimed in these ruthless bombing campaigns,
and the so called culprits remaining unscathed in the safety of their bunkers or caves. Its time for US president to take lessons from history ,and save this planet earth from a devastating war of nations which may errupt anytime otherwise, because It was John F kennedy who said \"Hottest part of Hell is reserved for those who in the times of great crisis, maintain their neutrality \"

Udai, i really dont understand eople like you. I said people who are getting killed not peple who died. Why do people like you always have to try to prove that they are smarter than the others? Believe me you dont have to be any smarter than others to discuss any topic. Atleast you got what i was trying to say in my last message.
