"Communal Riots"-- Does the common man have time to think ab

by Jaihind (Hindu) » Fri Mar 08, 2002 12:30 am

When the common man has got so much of mental stress in his life, when he has to take care of his family and earn his daily bread, does he have time to even think about these issues leave alone getting involved in this blood shed. All this is meticulously executed by religion biased political parties (VHP, BJP, RSS etc..). First get rid of these goddamn parties then things will set in place and everything will start working on smoothly. Strive for making India the greatest country in the world.

Prophets of Doom and Gloom and Mullahs of mayhem-this is where the illiterate Indian journalists
and the brown sahib owned Indian media has been stuck since independence. Majority of this lot believes just like the politicians that the ordinary Indian is incapable of thinking
things through and very much dependent on the non-existent brain power of this bunch.
Fortunately, the common Indian is at least 50 years ahead of the media and the lowly politicians.

Look at the titles and content of trash published over the last two weeks - most of it is simply trash with very little intrinsic news value at this juncture?.

If the Indian media is made up
of real women and men, it would have concentrated its efforts on finding the causes for this malaise
afflicting the society and proposed ways of steering the country away from it.

It is very sad indeed to see the media taking sides all the time rather than objectively and fairly
reporting the events. Indian electorate has been showing remarkable maturity in its political preferences and I wonder, when the Indian media
will wake up to this fact and start behaving like a grown-up.

Hey Raju.... u have a good point there about the media and the politicians. yeah true. media wants to make money so they will keep trying to prolong the issue burning and make it a hot topic. its high time that media should really think about it otherwise our nation will driven into blues after all the media plays a prominent role in a country\'s prosperity.

I agree, please let India be left with some face to show in the outside world. The entire world is rushing forward, imporoving their prospects, giving their people a much better future, & we are going from bad to worse. Even Indians like myself who are the last of the great patriots, feel like hanging our heads in shame when some mad men torch a train & kill innocent people. What are we ? BARBARIANS??????
Someone please get rid of all those stupid, selfish fanatics, HELP HELP HELP! Let India survive!

It is universally agreed that there is one creator for all of us and if one is practicing Islam and the other Hinduism and others any other religion what differentiates us being human beings. The Human being is the best creation on this earth and if behaves like the worst then we have to face the wrath of the creator. The wrath will be in the form of Earthquakes or plague or any other form what he decides.
What is so much important for an ordinary man “Ayodhya”. The ordinary man cannot think of all these issues unless he is unemployed and a road side Romeo. All the Kar Sevaks who are going for the construction of the temple are the same. If they are employed and working in a factory then they will not think of doing this. In that case where is the kar seva. Here the politicians are taking advantage of the situation and exploiting the common man to do this and they are gaining the vote bank. Still the common man is there in the same place where he was before. The politicians are to be understood clearly and the people should not go for the political party to vote rather see the character of the man to whom they vote irrespective of the party he belongs. If he can do something good the constituency then vote for him and get the society developed. We are too slow in the growth of the economy of our country as compared to other nations when we fight against each other. As said by Ex. CEC TN Sheshan the person is to be voted not the party. That is the democratic power the people have and should make use of it in good way. By killing the innocent Muslims or the Hindus there is no gain to any one. There is nothing we can do if all are muslims in the country or if all are hindus in the country. Still we fight. So let us live in peace and harmony for what we have this small period of 50 to 100 years of life blessed by the Almighty on us. If other countries are disturbing the peace then we have to find them and destroy them immediately.
Let us unite and fight against the enemy from within and outside.

I am very sorry to say that media has failed to understand hindu sentiements. It is very easy to blame RSS and BJP but is it not surprising that Hindus make the majority of the most of the main stream political parties in the India but none apart from BJP has though of expressing their sentiments. There are supporters of Ram temple at disputed site in each and every party but their leaders do not work democratically enough to voice their emotions in theier own party plateforms. This has led to a situation where Hindu is being portrait as BJP, and the issue has become a political one. If all the paries start to think about hindu sentiment than this issue will not become a political one and there will be a better chance of paeceful negotiations.

My pranamams to you Noor - spoken like a true daughter of India. Your timely message of love towards all humanity and reason gives the nation much needed ray of hope for a bright future. May be you ought to consider speaking out regularly in your community(place where you live), in your city, and in your country. May be you ought to consider sharing this gift of yours - keeping emotions compounded by personal beliefs at bay - with the rest of us more regularly. May be you ought to consider lifting the \'Indian Journalist\' from the bossom of despair and disgust. I am very proud of you.
