Since the United States is in Recession, going on H1-B is a big trap, to fell in the ongoing recession.

We cannot mould H1b with the economic cycles.
Not all sectors of industry will be in Recession,As I.T plays a main role in the productivity & efficiency, The profit margins for companies will definitely boost their annnual Report leading to bullish trends or Rally points.
May be there was huge correction due to non absorption of internet to bring profitability for many startups.
I agree upto some part for H1b non usage until new jobs are created.
