Deccan Chargers Or IPL Losers

Hi Hyderabadis,

Are you watching IPL? Then you must have very bad experience watching our Deccan Chargers, who does fail to charge on the field.
The only team in IPL who have just one match of their 7 played. What a shame to the team which have giants of cricket playing together. The likes of Gilly. Symonds, Vaas, Styris, Gibbs, Afridi, RP , VVS have never fired in this series. Yes , in few matches they have when rest of them went quitely.

The only dughout which had rare combination of hard hitters was Deccan chargers. When Deccan Chronicle went for bidding it surprised every one by quoting huge money for hyderabad team and also ropping in big big stars in to the team. It even created stroms with advertisements and name DECCAN CHARGERS - THE UNSTOPPABLES.

But this team which all have expected would go into further rounds easily iss struggling just to win a match.

What are the reasons of this failure?

Well, they won 2 out of the 7, not 1. Anyway, I don't like Deccan Chronicle - they settle too many personal scores using their newspaper, and make us pay money for that. My loyalty for the Hyderabad team would have been much higher if it was not owned by Deccan Chronicle.

As for their losing, I am starting to think, in T20 you can't predict which team will win.

Well, by the date of your posting, they had played only 6 matches, not 7 . Anyway, like I said, I don't know the reasons for failure. For example, India will almost certainly not win the next Twenty20 world championship in 2009 - the slam-bang variety is closer to gambling than to authentic cricket which depends on intellect and staying power, once a team has a minimum standard. And that does not mean I do not enjoy it.
