Fight for power

by Securalism » Mon Jan 02, 2006 11:53 am

The politicians have a right to try for power. The problem is our constitution allows 24 / 7 / 365 trying, with the result India is at a loss.

A person to pass 12 th standard has to go through certain steps, as stipulated. Whereas our Politicians have no such structured ladder. With the result, we have ministers who cannot even have a following. We have senior ministers learning on the job, with the result India is loosing.

We the people have no rappo with the Govt. For instance, we do not have any opportunity to relate to our govt. because of their good steps. Crores of rupees have been spent. For whom? we do not know. Amratay Sen should write a book on "Where is the Money Gone ?"

Manjunath and Puri killed. We have no visible act by the GOvt. to feel united. India Govt. , We the People of India, The sufferer (Manjunaths Parents, Mr. Puris family) all three. It is a shame that Govt. gives money to their families.

Govt. offices are dens of corruption. Most of them are busy looking after their personal agendas.

Regards

Madhav

hey

You are right. I main problem is that we the people of india are lazy. I am no Exception. We are complacent and dont have right attitude. We just let go the problems which in future would be dangerous. It is we who have to change. How many in India are following traffic rules on roads. How many in india are giving bribes to traffic police instead of taking the chalan. How many are registering FIR in the Police Station.

These are the question which needs an answer.

It's not just 'coz v r lazy, V r afraid. V r such cowards that v cannot even look in the face of a person who's doing injustice just 'coz v fear that his people wud harm us. V r such cowards that v r afraid to help a fellow being who's at the receiving end of unfair acts. V r such fools that v don't even understand that such a thing can happen tomorrow to us with everyone else just looking sympathetically at us and no one helping us.

Actually the wrong-doers have better unity. They stand united to protect their interests, but we, SHAME ON US.

No point in blaming the politicians or the criminals, it's all our fault. If v cannot stand up for our rights, then v have no right to cry over these issues in these kinda discussion boards.

hai hyde

U r right. We have to change our attitude 2wards life and be positive. As u said the wrongdoers are united than we are and thats the reason we never find justice in this country. We take everything for granted.

Speak for yourselves guys. Whats with this "WE INDIANS"? We would not have made all this progress if we had been lazy the way you present it. And yeah, you could do better by coming out of that guilt trip that you yourself are lazy. Come out of it and do something better in life.

There are so many things wrong with Indian Society in general and Polity/Governance in particular. But that is not the issue, the core issue is why are we afraid to talk about the issues? why are we afraid to introspect at the level of a nation and move forward?

Think for a minute. As individuals, if we don't indulge in introspection, self-criticizm and if we don't admit our mistakes, faults, weaknesses ... there is no way we can grow, no way we can achieve that we all desperately want to... But when it comes to our way of life, call it culture... we do not tolerate if one points out the wrongs there in. we call them bashers, baiters and so on...

Knowingly or unknowingly, these fora are catalysts in bringing about a change in mindset of people on a collective basis, and that's what is transformation of a nation is about. Look at the history starting from Roman thru British, Germany, Japan and now China .. how were these great nations made, it is not because of a few individuals, but because the majority of the populace had the resolve to make it happen. Change is not a Top-Down phenomenon. Change starts at lowest level and moves up.

I don't know how many will read this post, but my humble request to all of you is let's talk about what is wrong openly, and with vigor, let's not try to hide the realities behind self-esteem. We got nothing to lose, and everything to gain by doing this. Do not forget, Complacency Kills...
